Captain Ed brought us his wife’s 1966 Schwinn Slik Chik for restoration. He had seen us on Fox 13’s Good Day Tampa Bay with Charley Belcher. His wife had the bicycle as the original owner since she was 6 years old. Ed wanted it to look as close to original as possible even though it was going to be restored. Noel painted it the Candy Coppertone color and installed dry transfer decals. He cleaned up most of the chrome parts, re-spoked the rear wheel to the original hub, and sourced NOS Schwinn grips. The bicycle turned out gorgeous! Ed and his wife both said it was worth the trip from Port St. Lucie and worth the wait for the restoration. It was a very fun project! We hope they enjoy it for many years to come.
