The Huffy Sunsail Bicycles were made from 1968 to 1976. They are extremely rare! However, we were very fortunate to get a call from a customer who owns the biggest Beatles Collection in the world! He had a Sunsail bicycle in his collection which he wanted restored to display as an exhibit in a museum. We cleaned up the chrome parts because they were in decent shape. Noel stripped, media blasted, primed, and painted the frame, fork, and chain guard. We found a vendor who created the custom decals for us. Shout out to Bruce Crawford at bcrawf@oh.rr.com for his superior decal creations! After receiving the decals Noel installed them and finished the assembly on the bicycle. Robert was over the moon when he picked it up. It was professionally restored to museum quality standards in his opinion and ours. Look for it to be on display at the Penny Lane Museum in Clearwater coming in late 2024. It will be located on the back side of the new “The Sound” music venue. The museum will house Robert’s lifelong Beatles collection where displays and featured exhibits will be changed and updated often. This is the 4^th bicycle that we have restored for a museum! We can’t wait for the museum to open. We will be there to see the bicycle and all the other wonderful Beatles’ memorabilia. Bring on 2024!
